You are taking Ron Judd's column too serious. There is some real life thrown in for good measure but the whole thing is just sort of a light-hearted spoof on some of the more note-worthy events currently in the spotlight.

The Supreme Court does not pass laws. That is the job of Congress.

Where have you been?

As a public person, they are immune from slander laws. One can say anything they want of a politician, lie if they want. The danger of course, lying, once caught in a lie, that lie can follow a politician.
