I want to write a one act play but I am unsure of how long it should be. I write my plays on Microsoft Word, in landscape, two columns, so they'res too book pages to one computer page.

How many computer pages should a one act play be?

And how many computer pages should a ten minute play be?

Long enough to tell the story. Which should be only one incident among the characters. Read Playriting by Beranrd Grebanier, the best handbook for playwriting ever!

Well, out of all the plays i've seen and done, they usually last about an hour, don't limit yourself to just and hour. It can be longer. It's your play, and however long it takes you to express yourself and finish writing the story is always good. People like creative plays. :) Good luck writing your play!!

It should be long enough to express and explore fully whatever point or sentiment you're trying to make, forget how many pages it is. Just as an aside you should learn how to use spell checker.

really depends on how long you want it. like its been commented, just write it, you can always take out. its easier to take then to add. most one acts are between 10-35mins. once its written the way you like it, read it out. see how long it is and cut as needed. -cheers
