my heart goes out to all afeected by this latest shooting. i live in sydney australia and my prayers and thoughts are with you all. how much more can the usa take.

American schools need to stop talking and start doing. They say they have no tolerance for bullies yet the bullies always get away with it. My son finally had enough the other day and pushed a bully for calling him fat and a *****. My son said the vice principal got out his permanent record and put something in it. He has never been in trouble before but this one time. This other kid however has been in trouble alot. They made him apologize and they talked it out. An 8th grader threatened to rape a girl a couple of weeks ago at our Jr. High. He is back in school now. 2 weeks suspension having a private tutor required by the school to provide is just not enough in my eyes. What are they doing...waiting for his threats to become real? All schools need to start realizing these younger kids who cause alot of trouble in the early grades could become one of these school shooters or those bullied will retaliate. Its NUTS!!!!

One of the worst aspects of this horrible behavior is that we have few tears left. All we have is a brief, silent prayer for the victims and the loved ones they left behind. I think we are being hardened to bear this indefinitely. Note with the V-tech massacre, the memorial was carried out very quickly and then it was like silence......Whether it is death from medical error, highway death and injury or the loss of life in Iraq, it is as if no one really cares. Our political leaders, our athletes, our movie stars and entertainers show no concern. Most of them continue to act like stand up comics and not very good ones at that.
I guess it's a form of comic relief, you know when the subject matter gets a little too serious, crack a simpleminded joke so everyone can giggle. There is no one left that seems serious.

I have been depressed about both of the school shootings today. How much more violent are we are going to get. It truly cannot get any worse.

Thank you. It is so heartbreaking. Maybe if someone had just taken the time to talk to that kid maybe it wouldn't have happened. I wonder if he had a person that he could trust and talk to. If only we could turn back the clock sometimes, ya know what I mean? A star for you my friend. :)
