If you are of Greek or Italian decent I think it is a good choice, otherwise people may thing it snobbish or that you are some huge fan of Loren or Coppola.
The boy's and girl's name Sophia \s(o)-phia\ is pronounced so-FEE-ah. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "wisdom". Used in English-speaking countries since the 17th century. The famous Isatanbul mosque Hagia Sofia was once a Christian church. Sophie is the French form. Actresses Sophia Loren, Sophie Dahl.

Consider changing the spelling - Sophia. The sofia just looks like an i away from sofa.

It's classy and timeless. It might be pretty popular nowadays because there's been a backlash against the silly/made-up names of the recent past, towards classic names.

Cute! All those names are coming back! I would have liked to hear a middle name though.

I like it because it still is unique and isn't used alot. I hate when there are 3 kids in the same class with the same name!
