I get minor ear infectons pretty often due to an old injury to my ear drum. I was wondering if anyone can suggest any natural remedies for the pain. I know there's no miracle cure, but I sure am getting sick of taking tylenol.

Also if you have a herbal store in your area you might try one of these...

Aconite napellus 30c: Aconite napellus may be helpful in cases where ear pain appears somewhat suddenly in a child who showed no previous symptoms of illness, especially after exposure to cold, windy weather. The child may be fearful, restless with the pain, hot with fever, and thirsty for cold drinks. Even with a fever, a sense of chilliness and a pale face could indicate the usefulness of this remedy. Symptoms calling for Aconite napellus are often at their worst around midnight (for example, a child wakes in the night with ear pain after going to bed feeling fine). Aconite napellus 30c can be taken every thirty minutes, three to four times as needed, discontinuing as symptoms improve.

Belladonna 30c: Ear infections that may respond to Belladonna are also likely to appear rather swiftly and are more common in the right ear. The ear pain is often quite intense and throbbing, and the cry of a baby or child with this type of pain is likely to sound angry rather than fearful or whiny. A hot fever with a hot, red face suggests the use of Belladonna. Belladonna 30c can be taken every thirty minutes, up to four times, discontinuing when symptoms improve.

Pulsatilla 6c: Pulsatilla is the most likely remedy for children who are unusually clingy, weepy, or whiny during an ear infection. They are typically comforted by rocking or walking, and the ear pain is often relieved by placing a cold, damp washcloth over the affected ear. These kinds of ear infections often appear during the later stages of a cold or nasal infection with a greenish discharge. Pulsatilla 6c can be taken three to four times daily, discontinuing when improvement is noted.

Liquid golden seal works well for infections. Drink a dropper full in a hot cup of water twice a day for a few days (about 4 days) and that should clear it up pretty good.

You can get liquid golden seal at any health food store.

also..OldGuy is right. Taking a few drops of wild oregano oil orally will work really well (followed by lots of water)...but be advised, that stuff is powerful strong and it burns like heck! but it clears up infections almost instantly.

buy some "sweet oil" from walgreens and before you go to sleep, warm it till its just above body temp (test it like baby formula) and put a few drops on your ear and stuff a piece of cotton in after. also take a few drops orally of oregano oil. it should loosen up any crap you might have in your eustationary tubes.
