I dont know how to put this- Its embarrasing- But my pee smells so AWFUL!!!! If i catch a whif of it i almost puke... I didnt have this in my first pregnancy- Could it be the prenatal vitamin i am taking? Please tell me theres someone in the same boat- This is disgusting! Any reason for it? Should there be concern?

Yeah, it could be the vitamin. Is is possible you have a yeast infection? That will change the odor of mine in a heartbeat, and for some reason I get them now that I'm pregnant (never had 'em before).

It could be from your vitamins, but it could also be a symptom of a urinary tract infection. Is this something that has just started or something that has been going on throughout the pregnancy? Have you been having any other symptoms such as back ache, fever, cramping, etc? If you have been having any other symptoms, call the doctor ASAP to rule out a bladder infection. If not, it should be safe to wait until your next appointment to have them check your urine.
Your sense of smell is also heightened during pregnancy!

You might have an uti i know of alot of pregnant people who get thoughs during pregnancy like my self and some woman have it all though out their pregnancy if your pee is a weird color and smells really bad then it just might be an uti check with your doctor !!

i think i would bring that up with my doctor or whoever is looking after you during your pregnancy as it may be a urine infection i used to get these all the time before i was pregnant and i would no about it as the pain is unbarable, but when i was pregnant i tested postive for a urine infection and i didnt even know i had it, apparently this can happen during pregnancy and yes mine smelt as well.

It's probably the combination of the vitamins and your hormones making you more sensitive to smells. I can't stand strong smells no matter how good the smell is when I'm pregnant.

Its the hormones from pregnancy. I HATED The smell of myself when I was pregnant. My urine, my body, that area. It honestly made me gag for the entire 9 months.
I wouldnt worry about it, but obviously if you are you should ask your doctor.

I'd say its your vitamin tablets, maybe try a different brand. Plus, women become sensitive all sorts of particular smells when they are pregnant, maybe that's just one of your 'trigger' smells. Mine was garlic, and usually I looove garlic.
So try changing your brand of tablets, and congratulations on your pregnancy!

UTI's can cause it to be as you described. Im 7 weeks pregnant and dont have that and im taking prenatal vitamins.
