Glavine is gone, get an outfielder, not Bonds. make some trades for bullpen. NO OLD PLAYERS like Posada etc.

Most clubs hang on to their Starting Pitchers like a child's safety blanket, and this year doesn't have any decent SP in the market so I'd go after a strong bullpen. Middle Relievers, long relievers (to aid in case of horrible starters) and good set up people. Maybe call up a AAA closer to help out Wagner a bit.

I see people saying that C.C. Sabathia, Johan Santana are free agents in 2007. That's totally incorrect. They are free agents AFTER the 2008 season. The pitchers in the free agency this year. Are really not that great. Plus there are 30 other teams that need pitching. A guy who I like in free agency is RHP Josh Fogg. Played excellent for Colorado. I see the Mets going after Aaron Rowand. I think Jones is not as good as Rowand.

It's always difficult to put together a bullpen, but that's a priority. Someone to go with Wagner would be nice. Starters will be expensive, so they'll need a couple of arms to fill in while they develop some young talent there.

Would a corner outfielder help clear up the logjam they have there? Maybe. Alou was productive and Green had his moments, but both are getting up in years.

Pitching. The Mets pitching needs fresh blood, the number 1 main reason of their terrible season is pitching. They didnt have it all year! Glavine is not going to be the type of pitcher he was with the Braves and the Mets need to understand that.

the guy who said there arent ne good starting pitcher available is insane, to name 3 people that are free agents unless they re-sign with there team are, C.C. Sabathia, Johan Santana, and Andy Pettite... i think a good pick up for the mets would be Santana or a good out fielder maybe pick up Tori Hunter or Andruw Jones and move one of them to Right or Left

Posada, A-Rod, Rivera and then they would be winners. They need to trade for some pitching as the free agent pitchers are not great this year.

They need an young starting pitcher. El Duque and Glavine are old, doubt they can do as well as last year.
