I think he's a great singer/songwriter, extremely underrated.

Well, yes. I would hope that a lot of people have heard of him. He was very successful in the 70s. Personally, I had a HUGE crush on him, all his records, his pictures tacked up on my bedroom wall, the works! Loved his music, and still do!

My favourite album is Mona Bone Jakon.

Litle San, Cat's In The Cradle was done by Harry Chapin. My Favorite Cat Stevens songs are "Moonshadow" "Peace Train" "The Hurt" "Oh Very Young" and "Banapple Gas" to limit it to just five.

Moonshadow, great song. Morning Has Broken, another good song. And the person who said he sang Cat's in the Cradle is getting him confused with Harry Chapin.

i replace into raised on Cat Stevens. My dad enjoyed him. each and every Sunday morning we'd hear to "Morning Has broken" until the album replace into broken. Then we'd dance around to "Banapple gas." I wager Yusef Islam may be a competent call on your cat. :)

Yes, he is great! You can call him Yusuf Islam now...he changed his name after converting to Islam.

He was, then he converted religion and refused to sing ever again to us commoners.
