Why is it that if two black people do the same thing, we all did it? Just because a few assholes decided to rob a man or rape a girl, does not mean that every single one of us is a thug or a rapist! I mean, if we were going to make broad generalizations I could say every White teen in America is a psychopath!

And of course, after I make that nice little statment everyone is going to focus on weighing the number of black crimes against the number of white crimes instead of answering the question because that is just how this community is!

People assume nonsense about all groups of people. The reasons are many: ignorance, the media, irrational hatred, upbringing, and so on....

It's a sad world. Let's try to rise above it.

Stereotypes are pretty important for helping people to feel comfortable about their place in the world. Dealing with billions of individuals is a pretty daunting prospect.

Blacks have been placed at the bottom of the pile around the whole world for centuries. Slavery didn´t begin with the whites. In known history the Arabs were there long before us. Slavery is also a part of history the world over.

It´s likely there is stastically more Black crime in America than White crime, but that has more to do with social status and poverty than colour.

Though it may sound bizarre, racism is actually not a personal thing, quite the opposite. Knowing an individual in a racial group tends to take them outside that racial group from the viewers perspective (to say - yeah, but he or she is not like the rest). Sadly, peer pressure can override such personal views.

Foreigners have been trampling all over Africa for many centuries, taking advantage of the tribal conflicts that have existed. There has never been an opportunity for Africans to unite in the way that has happened in most other cultures (note, there are still many sectarian problems within other cultural groupings). African culture has been buried under the morass of external imposition and the natural good qualities never allowed to emerge on a wider scale. Hence Blacks continue to be put at the bottom of the pile and easily stereotyped in negative ways.

If the new rash of African governments could throw off the MO given them by centuries of external dominance and actually do something good for Africa and African people then you might begin to see a change in the stereotype across the world.

Sadly, this doesn´t look like happening anytime soon.

But what´s worth noting is that the solution is going to come from Africa, not from America!

Most blacks feel like all white people are racist.
Most white people are so fearful of being labeled a racist. To most whites the word racist is a hurtful, mean word. It's like calling a black the big " N " word.
In the movie , Road House Patrick Swayze plays this bad *** bouncer who goes to these bars to clean up the rif raf. He has to retrain the bouncer's in the bar. One of them asks
" well if some guy gets in your face and calls you S.O.B. what are we suppose to do ? Swayze says , nothing. Then looks at the guy for a moment and says , Well are you ? Its just a word.

I don't know about merging, but the theory of them orbiting each other for some time is more plausible at the moment. The galaxy andromeda actually has 2 super massive black holes orbiting each other at the center of the galaxy, indicating andromeda has swallowed another galaxy, black hole and everything. Milky way galaxy is next by the way.

I feel what your saying but FYI there are more white rapists then there are black, But to answer your question. In general white people despise blacks. Now they know this is wrong so they must use somethings to make their hate legitiment so they do not seem like ignorant bigot.

If one black guy is a thug they say we all are so they can make their hate legit. they can say i dont like blacks BECAUSE(this makes them feel like their hate is warranted) they are thugs.

I know what you're saying. It's as if black ppl are judged on the actions of a few. And let's face it, every race has some bad apples. Ppl should start looking at the individual person...that might help cut down on a lot of prejudice.

Most people are judgmental.
There are people of all races & all religions that are, well, anything on a felony and misdemeanor list. I agree with you. I could say, "All catholic priests are child molesters" but I know that is not all true. People in general feel as if they have to stereotype a group of people. "All people from Columbia are drug dealers"...... I could go on.

I agree with you .where I live, a white girl murdered her newborn baby. the judge sent her home under the care of her parents. oh yeah, the girl is an adult. 2nd case, a black woman is in jail for picking up her baby and trying to hit her boyfriend , using the baby as a bat. thankfully the baby is o.k. point, white girl never spent even an hour in jail. black girl has been in jail since her crime happened.
