It sounds like you have your head together, so your life shouldn't suck. Just think in 3 years this will be behind you and you'll be in college. Trust me, that was the only thing high school was to me - a vehicle for getting to college.

No it doesn't. THEIR lives suck. Yours doesn't have to. The only reason you think so is because you're judging your own life based on what you see other people doing or thinking. You sound like a good person with a lot of potential. Don't f... it up just because everybody around you is throwing their lives away. Part of the challenge of living is to get over what gets thrown at you and still keep your love for life alive. What would you prefer... death? Go enjoy yourself and do what you love and love doing it and pretty soon you won't have time to ask these kinds of questions because you'll be having too much fun living. Stop caring what other people say, do or think and concentrate on making the most of yourself that you possibly can. There's not much time in this world for any more than that.

I disagree with life sucks, because, really, I don't think so at all. But I can totally relate to you in so many different ways. I am younger looking, in the 9th grade, and it really does bother me, all the things people are getting into. It's just... crazy. I am open-minded as well, it's just, it makes me sad too.
You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders. You seem sensible enough to bring up a topic like this. Good on you.

I have empathy for you, because being born in mid September was pushed into school early, and being a late bloomer anyways, made me the smallest in all of high school. I was wearing kiddie 'knee' pants (the ones that come with double inner patch fabric) for months until I overheard 'earshot' snipers. I made up for it by pouring every ounce of physical effort into P.E. class, and earned respect as well as good grades. I also took the hardest courses available (no basket weaving or study hall) considering the knowledge over GPA and only wish I had waited longer than age 19 to become a father. I ended up working 2 jobs most of my youth instead of continuing what I started in college, and trying to sow wild oats at an older age only tainted my otherwise impeccable reputation. Just you hold your head up and do your studies, you are still gaining social understandings by observing ......and some of these you may envy now, will be washing your car, mowing your lawn and saying yes boss to you in the future.

You're right about 15 being too young for any of that. Sex, drugs, anything. Most people cave into peer pressure, and those of us who stand for what we believe in are made to be the "bad guys".
Therefore life will seem to suck because we see things differently. Don't let them bring you down or sway you. Stay the way you are. Things get much better. You will see that eventually.

That happened to me too i skipped a grade after I was going to catholic school to another catholic school they used to set u back 1 year but the school i went to was so high rated i got put ahead. Lucky I have a chip on my shoulder and was able to work it out. But when i got to high school everyone had a friggin license but my until 5 months before i graduated that sucked. Life will get much better when u do your time get your education and get a great paying job then drive that brand new corvette under their noses. Then u have to beat the chicks off !!

You're not stupid, in fact you sound quite sensible. You need to look for what's best for you in the long run.

Don't worry what other people are getting in to now. Don't be jealous of them either. Of course they're too young! What they do wrong now might very well come back and bite them in the future. They're crazy, living by their feelings instead of by good sense.

If I were you, I'd concentrate on what's right for your own future. Concentrate on your studies and do your best at school, that's what's going to give you a future. Do the right thing, do what's right by you, your family and others, and that way you'll give yourself the best chances in your life ahead.

If you didn't want answers, then why did you post this? Lol.

That's high school and life in general for ya, unfortunately.

Kids these days are getting into all sorts of things...experimenting with drugs, blow jobs, etc. Lots of high school kids are immature and naive. You however, seem to have a good head on your shoulders.

Someone in my neighborhood recently died because she got caught drunk, then she tried to sneak out of her house to get back to the party. She slipped off the roof and died. It's really sad, but pathetic how desperate she was.

You'll get through it. Just make smart decisions, and make friends with people who don't get smashed every weekend.

Life is what you make it. :)

just hang in there. Try to find a few good friends that really think like you do and hang out with them. I can't believe all the stuff you teens have to deal with- it was bad enough when I was a kid. Also find things that really are fun and funny and do that kind of stuff. My kids don't even date until 16 and they are great kids, we talk about plenty so I think I know what's going on with them. They went ice blocking last nite :)
