Great avatar......I do think he would be an icon...but I think he would have quit the wwe....let me explain...he would have been pushed aside to HHH, HBK, and Batista just like everyone else from WCW did. That is why he never went to the wwe. Vince approached him, and sting said no. I am sure Vince is still angry about not getting him.....

He is the #1 reason why WCW beat the WWF for 87 weeks in a row..

Great question...

EDIT: MY LAST QUESTION (THE ONE ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT) GOT DELETED AND I GOT A VIOLATION NOTICE....THIS PLACE IS RIDICULOUS

Absolutely. Sting would be an icon regardless. Sting is one of those guys who just had "IT" He had and still has "IT" to some degree. The fact that he is rapidly approaching 50 years old and still is one of the more talked about wrestlers in the world is remarkable. Everyone talks about Angle tearing the roof off of the Impact zone when he first appeared for TNA, but Stings reception when he came back to TNA fulltime was equally as strong. Here is a guy who had for all intensive purposes been out of wrestling since 2001 and got that kind of reception. It says alot for Stings cross generational and long lasting appeal to wrestling fans. Sting was never the most technical wrestler, but he was absolutely electric in the ring during his prime. Sting was never one of the top promo men in the business but his charisma and "Fonz Factor" was equalled only by the likes of Ric Flair, Hogan, The Rock and Austin. Sting was already a huge name by the time that WWE bought out WCW, and even though Sting states that the reason he never fully considered WWE was that he feared McMahon wouldn't use him right, Sting would have never the less overcome even that. There are some guys you just cannot really bury in the eyes of the fans and Sting is one of those few guys.

Finally! The Goldlilocks! Has Come Back! To My Avatar!

I don't think the Stinger would have become an Icon in the WWF. Look at the WWEs' track record with exWCW wrestlers. The only two exWCW wrestlers who achieved more fame in the WWE than in WCW were Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero. One example, Goldberg ... the WWE showed everyone he was all hype. He fell faster in the WWE than an airplane in midair that runs out of fuel.

I also don't think Sting is an Icon in TNA. He was a franchise player in WCW but today, he's a midcarder at best in my book. I saw all the "Wooooo" and his other trademarks 10 years ago. It's time to move on. (The same goes for Ric Flair)

Despite what history tells us about what vince mcmahon would have done to him, i believe he would still be the same icon for one major reason. he is the only wrestler the rock would come back to face, that would boost ratings to higher than they had been in years, and he would have an amazing fued with the rock, ending in another icon vs. icon match at wrestlmeania.

btw yea im so happy that the avatar thing was fixed, i was sick of having no picture too. how does my picture look? can you tell its the rock easily or is it too small?

I agree with Vader. For a lot of fans Sting WAS WCW, he was called "The Franchise" for a lot of years (not like Shane Douglas calling himSELF "the franchise"). I think Vince would've done to Sting much like he's doing to Tommy Dreamer now. Tommy Dreamer has been called by many "the heart and soul" of ECW and Vince is just pissing all over Dreamer's legacy by having him job to everybody. Sting probably would have been stuck in upper mid-card level, jobbing to the up-and-comers, despite his popularity. The WWE probably would've tried to turn Sting heel at some point and that wouldn't have worked. Much as I like the Stinger he was right in not signing with the WWF/E.

I really Don't think so ,
Sting is still a big draw . I think Vince would have seen the dollar signs with this . In reality it's actually the people who dictate the writings these days . The bookers listen to the crowds now more than ever .

I noticed but now I can't cahnge it back to my Sting avatar =( In answer to your question I don't think so, because VKM would have tried to change him into some one he is not, just like does all the superstars and Sting wouldn't go for it.

No, I think Vince would have buried him like he's done to much of the WCW talent. Sting was a challenge to Vince so he would have gone out of his way to destroy the Icon status.

I know I am so happy I finally got my picture back! No, I don't think Sting would be the Icon. They would probably destroy him in the WWE.
