I was played SS but i was mostly a pitcher with a fastball from 90-94, a 12-6 curveball with late break, a typical changeup, a hard sinker that tops 90 and a slider that turns in on lefties and away from righties like a 2-7, i play summer ball but not like summer league or cape cod

Most major league teams do scouting at junior/community colleges, and some players get signed. Usually, though, they'll wait 'til you switch to a regular, Division I college and see how you do.

Failing that, you can go to some of the tryout camps - the link below lists dates for some of the teams' sessions.

In a word: Luck. I know that's not very satisfying but there you go. And i know that some teams do send scouts to Jr colleges. You're best bet though is that a coach from a major university with a good baseball program sees you play and gives you an opportunity. Outfielder Jason Lane Played for Santa Rosa Jr. College before moving on USC and the College world series so it can happen. (Lane plays for San Diego now)
Do you have a tape with Highlight film? Have you coach send it to some major schools or major league clubs. (don't send it yourself you'll just look foolish) Short of that just play really really really well. If you can do that someone will notice.

Easy-if you are good enough-they will find you no matter where you are. Scouts are everywhere. Travis Hafner of the Indians played community college ball in South dakota famr town. I live in a 900 person town in Ohio where the Mariners found and took a pitcher Ryan Feirabend in the 1st round a few years aho and now he's made it into the bigs as a #5 starter. The kid was scouted by Yankees, Redsox, Bluejays, Mariners, Dodger and Marlins. Best of luck.

You have to have good contacts in MLB...but for us normal people, you have to go to a try out by the Major League Scouting Bureau held annually.

You can contact them:
Major League Scouting Bureau
3500 Porsche Way, Suite 100
Ontario, CA. 91764
Fax: (909) 980-7794
Phone: (909) 980-1881

Their office is actually not too far from my house.

Here's the website with some FAQ.

locate as many ball leagues as you may on your section and play in them. attempt some professional ball attempt outs, independant league, or MLB. Being a lefty that throws 92, i'm confident their are many places you may desire to play, in case you basically ask around and locate out.
