I thought Gay Marriage was supposed destroy the "sanctity" of marriage? Judging from these states it's done the exact opposite? Shouldn't they have the highest divorce rate? For that matter, why are the top 10 states with highest divorce rates red, and the 9 lowest blue? I thought Republicans were trying to protect the "sanctity" of marriage? Well, it looks like they failed. Heck, it looks like the whole idea of marriage being destroyed by Gay Marriage has been crushed.

How can you possibly continue to hold the stance that Gay Marriage hurts the sanctity of marriage? If you say, well that's just Massachusetts. Then you need to explain Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Canada, which have also survived perfectly fine.

Gay marriages work because when they get bored with each other all they need to do is go to their local gay bar. Go to the bathroom and into one of the stalls stick their wick in the hole and be taken care of.Go home happy not knowing who just kissed their wick and don't care to know.

I realize that you are trying to make a point, but from a strictly numbers point of view, it makes sense.

A matured marriage base has a divorce rate of y% where divorce rate = number of divorces / number of marriages. Mass just added a brand new pool of people to the total number of marriages that did not exist before, so the divorce rate rate should go lower, because the denominator suddenly got much larger, unless the new pool of marriage candidates have a much higher and early rate of divorces.

The reality is that gay marriage will have no effect on the divorce rate. We will do no better and no worse than the millions of divorced, adulterous heterosexuals who have defiled this institution before us.

I think some people don't know that marriage is sacred.

Some people treat marriage as the next step in dating.

I don't believe gay marriage would have a negative effect on marriage.

Marriage is what each couple makes it.....regardless of the gender of the couple.

I wonder if it has anything to do with how hard Gays have to work for a right the rest of us take for granted.

Here's another angle: They often do not procreate... is it possible then that they don't possess quite the wandering eye of those that do (and are spurred on by a vague need to 'chase' the opposite sex?).

Nah, probably the first one...
