ok, first of all i do not want any hateful comments. Im going to the FOB concert on 11/14 and i got GA (general admission). i've never been in that spot, so i dont know what it is exactly. I do know its right up front, but I also know that the concert will be in the arena. will this make a difference? Also, the tickets were a bit cheaper than the other sections, why is this? I heard the mosh pit is in the GA, and its more dangerous so its cheaper. Anyway, sorry for bothering you so much, but i am really curious about this.

It's at Madison Square Garden, for the people who needed to know what type of arena it is. :)

I'm not sure what it means for FOB. General Admission tickets are usually unreserved and/ or bleacher seating. This area can be on the lower or upper levels and it has been known to include a mosh pit and be a disaster waiting to happen. I've heard that it's near the stage for FOB.

GA usually means the opposite of "reserved", so it's probably just a grass or dirt area without seats...so it's first come first served to stake out a good spot. So get there early and hopefully you will be with a group so you can save each other's spot if you have to go to restroom or concession stand. If it is right up front, then yes that's probably the mosh pit. Hope you are a hardcore fan, because that's where they will all be--screaming and singing along with the lyrics. Will they all stand up the whole time, or do people bring folding chairs or blankets?
Sometimes general admission is further back or standing room only type areas up high. Somebody more familiar with the particular arena where you are going would probably be able to tell you better.

If it's anything like I know it, it's a "first come, first served" kinda thing - if you get there early, you'll be right up front, if not you might be stuck between people much taller than you, squashed up against each other. No seats in most arenas.

The other tickets were probably seats and more expensive because they've a guaranteed better view (unless you're lucky and get right up front in the GA bit). More comfortable there too - I went to a concert on a GA ticket once (there were no others, it was an open air concert) but I definitely wouldn't mind if I never had to do that again!

"General admission" just means unassigned seats. Check the venue's web site to see if there is a "reserved" section, or if the whole place is general admission. The earlier you get there, the better seat you get. If there are separate sections for the GA, they will be off to the side or farthest from the stage. The mosh pit is most often in front of the stage, but not always. Since these seats are too close to the stage to be very good, they can be GA seats, but the pit is not the same as the seats.

If the band is playing an arena, I believe your seating area is going to depend largely upon what time you get there. If you're early enough you should indeed be able to get a good seat. The prime tickets are the seats that are literally right next to the stage. General Admission means you will be a good 75 to 100 feet from the stage. That's plenty close though. Your ears are going to ring when you leave.

Good luck and don't smoke anybody else's funky smelling cigarette, you won't know what might be in it.

General admission means you do not have an assigned seat. The entire section is first come, first serve. So, the earlier you get there, the better your seat will be.

Have fun & enjoy the concert.

Usually general admission means that there is no assigned seating. Either there will be no seats and people will be standing (and possibly moshing) or there will be seats and it's first some first serve. Either way you'll get a better spot if you get there early.
