Nothing has been publicly announced yet although it is likley to happen since the release of the quote saying George Stinebrenner will fire Torre if the Yankees dont make it or win the World Series.

No but he might fire Joe Torre after World Series. Even though Yankees didn't pass ALDS, Yankees made the playoffs this season because of him leading the Yankees. I think Stinebrenner would consider firing him if Yankees didn't make the playoffs.

Torre can't get fired: he doesn't have a contract with the Yankees. Management is deciding whether or not they want to sign him to an extention.

No. But Stinebrenner said he was gonna fire him if he didn't win the ALDS so he'll probably get fired after the world series.
