is a xbox 360 really worth saving up for and asking for christmas? i dont have one but i think that it is worth it

.hecks yea, dude, the ps3 aint got nothin on the 360. xbox has marketplace if u get xbox live, and u can download music videos, movies that are in the movie theaters (but u have to have microsoft points), and stream all your videos music and watch live tv all from your windows based computer....can the ps3 do that? NO. and you can also download arcade games witch is the friggin sweet. the graphics on some of the higher arcade games are better than the graphics on the original xbox and ps2 (im not lying at all heres a link to one of the minigames that you can play http://www.smallarmsgame.com/)
*and thats just a minigame.
its so much stuff dude that its DEFINITELY worth it.
if u want xbox live just get a $50 year card for christmas and it will last you until next christmas.

it is completely wrong, graphics are pretty much the same but a slight advantage to 360, GTA 4 will be same for both, just because of Blueray's 50gb space doesnt mean they use it! To answer your question yes its worth it, but If your not really a gamer, and just lookin for something to play the latest games get the PS3, its more reliable, and if you factor that you have to pay for LIVE, and a Wireless Adapter if you want an equivalent, of PS3's wifi. No question that LIVE is far greater than PS3, but considering that its free, and you also get a browser so u can surf the web 2, i'd say its a good trade off. Also for the avarege gamer who doesnt spend much time online (me) PS3 is just fine:)

Sure. As long as you get the 360 Pro with the HDMI port on the back. It DOESN'T come with the HDMI CABLE, though, but the component cables look and work REALLY good. And, if you wait by the end of October, you can buy the Pro (or Elite) with 2 games (Marvel: UA and Forza 2) bundled WITH the console in the box for FREE!!!

Xbox live! oh yeah. not sure how you have coped without it really!
Plus you really don't need to get the elite! you don't need hdmi, plus if you are going to use your 360 as a media extender for your media centre pc, then you don't need the large hddrive! just go for the premium

No, don't get a 360. ask for a PS3. PS3 has better graphics. and if you're a Grand theft auto fan than you will defiantly want to get a PS3. GTA4 is coming out for 360 but its going to suck. the game is played on multiple discs and the graphics are bad. for PS3 the game is played on only one disc and the graphics kick ***!
