Here's a famous one, Zoltan Mesko, punter for Michigan and now New England was an immigrant from Romania. He began playing football very late in his high school career. He went on to become Michigan's best punter ever. I think he only ever had one blocked (2008 in a 46-17 blowout loss to Penn State, but Michigan wasn't that good that year).

Neil Graff from Sioux Falls Lincoln. Three year starter QB for Wisconsin. Leading passer in Big Ten (like that was hard during Woody and Bo era!) Backed up Tarkenton at Minnesota. Funny thing was he didnt make all state South Dakota at quarterback in high school as Senior. He was a very quiet modest nice guy in high school.

I went to high school with kicker for the Bills, Scott Norwood who missed last second field goal against New York Giants back in the late 80's or early 90's. Up until that kick, he was pretty much accurate of a kicker.

Kijana Carter and Andy Katzemoyer. One was the first pick in the draft and the other was a first rounder. Both had injury problems. My GF went to school with Terry Glenn and a bunch of former d1 guys. Another guy named Marlon Kerner played for the Bills.
