I have non-epileptic seizures. They are similar to grand-mal seizures. The doctors have told me i cannot drive until i am seizure free for at least 6 months.Which also means,i cannot work because i dont have a way to get to a job,if i cannot drive.Am i wrong to apply for disability benefits until i can drive again? So many ppl abuse the disability system that dont need it.I just want to know if i should apply or not?

there are a great many people that work without driving themselves, there are buses, there are van-pools, there are bicycles, and there is always walking. If your seizures allow you to get thru a normal day, there is no reason why you cannot work, you simply need to find work that is either near where you live, or on a bus line or has a ride share. Look first to your abilities, look last at your disabilities.

I wouldn't say it is abuse to apply. You do have a legitimate reason. However; have you thought about public transit? There are buses and undergrounds going almost everywhere. If you can get a job, then you really should try. You would feel better about yourself. If you don't feel safe going out, then, perhaps your only way to go is to apply and see what happens.
