Hey,

It's quite difficult. The requirements for med school are quite similar to the requirements to dental and pharmacy school: General Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry (I'm doing this course right now =P ), Calc I/II, English (1 year with writing), humanities course and your general education courses for graduation. It's pretty competitive since you need about a 3.5 for med school (or dental school) before your 2nd half of your junior year. For pharmacy school, you need like a 3.5 too but you apply right after you're done with your sophmore year. You complete the next two years of your college life in pharmacy school and then do another 4 yrs of official pharmacy school.

Hope that helps! Contact me if you ever have any other questions! (Especially about Orgo =) )

Best,

Andrew

You can apply the year you finish your prereqs. It can be 2 years or after you finish your bachelors.
You will have to take the PCAT.
For most schools, you apply through PharmCAS. It is a common application.
Interviews are required.
Pharmacy is very competitive to get into.

-You should apply to pharmacy school in september b/f the year you want to get into that school and once you know you finish all the prerequisite of that school you want to get into.
-Course varies differently in each school. But major courses are biology 1-2, chemistry 1-2, org chem 1-2, physic 1-2, calculus 1 (maybe 2), social course (varies), economic (macro or micro).
-Try to look online for a couple of schools and try to follow what they want.
-You may have to take the pcats (i studied during winter break for the pcats, the yr b/f i got in)
-Interview
-recommendation(try to get to know your teachers and do well so they'll write a good recommendation)
-work in a pharmacy part time
good luck
