It reminds me of that old adage --- "Men ...you can't live with 'em ...and you shouldn't kill 'em" I think we really are two different species ....... When we really get on your nerves .... just put us on display in a cage.

Sometimes a good way to end an essay is by asking questions. Asking questions!? Yes. What I mean is that you could pose several questions based on what you've gathered from the novel. For example, you could include an ending paragraph that questions whether following the crowd and making minute judgements, especially based on skin color, is a feasible way to brand someone a criminal. You can question whether the cultural/social environment left much room for the actual facts to be adequately judged in criminal cases. This way, the reader of the essay is given a chance to actually THINK about what you've written in relation to your ending questions. So, you don't actually do all the reader's thinking for him or her by coming to a bonafide conclusion. Sure, you can write about what you think in the conclusion; but leave some room for healthy critique.

I like to use a combo. Start of by bringing them to near death. Then bring overbearing and sarcastic kindness. Then witch back. It's slow torture killing. Sometimes, they are in so much pain it brings them to kill themselves which takes the blame off you!
