This is the same battle that occurred back between VHS and Betamax for the cassette market back in the '80's. I would not buy a player for either format until the industry standard is set. How many people have a useless Betamax player out there? I took care of the problem with a Wide Screen TV with DVI (Digital Visual Interface) input and a DVD player that produces a DVI output. So any DVD I watch is in HD.

It's just like when DVD's first came out, they had little to no extras stating 'Interactive Menu' as an extra. It's so they can re-release the same film in a few years when more people have the player so they'll go out and buy them again and again, just like Star Wars.
