Sorry, no. It reminds me of Darleen Conner from Roseann.

I like it in theory, but find it a bit too dated to the 70s at the moment (I know quite a few Darlenes in their 30s LOL). I love the simpler Darla, however, and as more an old-fashioned revival, it doesn't quite have that same dated feel. More along the lines of Ivy, Moira, Matilda, Eleanor, etc. that way. ;)

"old Fashioned"? Better then some names I see on YA like Josephine, Winifred .
I like the name Darlene and maybe it's time to bring it back.
In this day and age a name like Darlene will be trendy 'cause it is "unique"

I honestly think Darlene is not the best name you could pick.
There are so many more beautiful names to pick.

I don't know. I find it kind of trashy. There was a patient at the doctor's office where I used to work called Darlene and she was weird...just disgusting, smoker, drinker and trashy. She had a nasty hoarse voice. Please don't take this personal, I just cannot picture a cute little girl with that name. GOOD LUCK!

It's alright, but it kinda seems like an old fashioned name...it's cute for a little baby, but how cute would it be as a teenager??

No, unless it means something special to u; (for ex. ur mother's or grandmother's name). Other than that, it wouldn't be a good name for a baby in my opinion. Itz a bit dated. Hope this helps. =)

Its nice- But it reminds me too much of the "Roseanne" show.... Her ugly daughter (who is now gay in real life) was named Darlene- I dont know anyone else with that name so its hard to disassociate it.
