I really can't take this cat anymore?
So... from the minute my husband adopted this cat its been nothing but trouble.

He has been biting and scratching my daughter from the first day he was here she has scars on her arms and legs. He shits and pisses in my house.scratches my couch.has ruined countless items. I really can't take it anymore.

My daughter hates the cat (she wants nothing to do with him) my husband won't part with getting rid of the damn thing because"hes part of the family".

My husband is on a business trip and I really want to get rid of the cat. Is it a little harsh to take it to the vet? how else do i get my husband to get this animal out of my life?

explain this to your husband about how difficult the cat is making your life and how it is scratching your daughter and ask if he can stay outside... that way your husband doesnt have to part with the cat and he is out of the house, sounds like meeting each other half way to me. dont get rid of it, that is awful and disrespectful to your husbands wants!!! make his opinion matter!

I'm not a cat person either i find them very cold and aluf and distant. but thats his pet. I would flip if anyone ever decided to get rid of my dog for there reasons.

YOu can't put his cat down cause you dont' like it. But you will have to talk to him about this cat and how its ruining your household with peeing everywhere and biting your daughter and scratching everywhere.

Either he makes a place for it where it will be confined and away from what ever this cat is doing or it gets declawed or neutured to stop spraying everywhere.. he has to see the damages its doing to the house and family he can't be blind.

Make a list of the things the cat does and ask him how can this be resolved say i know you love this cat and its part of the family but we need boundaries here. You can't go on this way.

If it's young train it, if it's fully grown and a few years old, it'll take a lot of work to make it change it's ways.

If it's causing harm to your daughter and there is no way to alter it's behavior bring it to the pound and pick out another kitten, or a compatible cat, the whole family together. None of this the husband getting an animal without input from you cr*p.

If the cat is really doing those things to your daughter, then you should try to give the cat to a loving home, a place where it will be loved by everyone. Not just dump it in a shelter, they will most likely kill the poor thing. Why don't you try disciplining the cat, like taking it to trainer?

Have you had him fixed? (The cat, not your husband....) sometimes cats behave like that until they have been neutered. If he has, then your husband needs to think about his priorities. I wonder why he would put his daughter in danger. How old is that cat? Maybe it is kitten or immature behavior.

i'd take it to a cat rescue that way you could say it got out and it'll most likely get put in a home that can handle a Mean and nasty cat.

I would take it to a shelter....no way in hell that I would put up with an animal that bites, scratches, pisses and chits in the house!

I would have a nice little cat stew made for him when he got home.....lol Just kidding.....I would suggest having the cat fixed and maybe declawed, I am sure you can find a common ground.....

is the animal fixed? it may be spraying to mark its territory...most animals do...as for scratching and biting...it is jealous of your daughter...yeah you heard me right....it is jealous and is trying to run her off....but i wold not allow that to happen...i'd tell my spouse about the bites and scratches...get documentation on how those bites and scratches could make your child sick...and if he does not get rid of the animal...i'd tell him...either he gets rid of or you will...and if he still refuses...move out, because he sees more in that stupid cat than you and your daughter....buy your daughter a plastic bat and tell you hubby your daughter has the right to defend herself
