South Bend Indiana for football saturday

The afternoon game is like 230, and people get there on campus around 11-12 and have sausages and drinks and chips, and the campus is so pretty,

about 145-150 theres like this invisible bell

80,000 people descend on the stadium and get to their chairs

the band is playing and they go into the stadium

its this ritual

that moment when people throw out their garbadge, make one last stop, and then 80,000 people look to the same direction

its magical

everytime i have gone i have gone with my father

ive gone about 7 or 8 times

the last time i went was 2005

im not religous, i am atheist, but if there is such a place as heaven and i am entitled to go, what i would like is that little patch of fall, my father, those sausages,

i even expressed this to my father, that many of the "working class" of america looks to these kinds of occassions with a religious fever, we treat football like religion in this country

the stereotypical view of heaven is one of reunion with family, the fundamentalist would say its union with god and god is enough but i think most "normal" people have a view of being reuinited with family

for me, my connection to my father has been through sports on our only vacation alone has been to south bend for these football games

my father is 61, still alive,

he went with his brother to california this past weekend for a game there

i will have maybe a few of these football saturdays with my father

i will have to in time take my son

my son is 4 right now, maybe when hes 10 ill start taking him

my heaven on earth will be father and son, and for a time maybe grandfather and son and grandson,

soon my father will pass, as all mortals do,

i dont know if he will go to heaven or not i like to think he wont but im not someone with 100% knowledge

i will be with my son going

in time i too will pass

when i was a younger man i hung out with a group of women, and there were several blonds with not a small chest if you catch my drift,

i was a 20 year old man and i said heaven for me would be hanging with a group of women with such appearance

now that im 30 with a wife and son i say its these father son times,

i guess the ideal answer

if i could have a vacation,

it would be to be with my whole cast of family and friends, eating a sausage, awaiting that invisible bell,

Well, I think I would LOVE to go somewhere tropical right at the moment. However, I do get to go to Africa for 3 and a 1/2 weeks over christmas break and I am super excited about it. :-) Have a wonderful night!

Japan or China

Wife & I are friends with a local Oriental restaurant owner and she tells us as to the trips that she takes back to see her parents and relatives. And talks of the "market place" where everybody goes and purchases there groceries...

This type of cuisine is something I would love to experience.

Some years ago for one of my birthdays - she purchased a lobster and fixed it up for me and my wife. To which she did not charge us for and said that would be her gift to me. Very wonderful person indeed.

Greece. I love just about anything if it is wrapped in a grape leaf. Good food, beach, and I don't speak the language. Now that's a vacation!

I would go to a place where everyone would speak a foreign language that I don't understand and has a colonial look. I'd go to a lonely beach where the sun is really bright and the weather is windy, I would lay there listening to music and realy relaxed **sights**

Well, I will go to the Alps though. With its beautiful scenery, I believe that it's a wonderful place to be there with your love ones though.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)
