Why did the people in the middle colonies come to the middle colonies??? (I think religion, and freedom??? Source too.)
#2 What are the charters and how did they recieve them???

A majority of them, yes, religion. Congregationalists, Dutch Reformists, Scottish Presbyterians in NJ.
Freedom of religious conviction & county commission in PA (due to William Penn).
Trading posts established by the Dutch (New Amsterdam, now known as New York) in NY.
Dutch again in DE establishing a trading post, and removed by the British (Duke of York).

NY: Proprietary (Duke of York, 1664) to Royal (1685)
DE: Proprietary (Duke of York to William Penn 1682)
