...we'd all fry from radiation...for a start...

The sun gives off what is known as solar winds (or solar storms) which are actually streams of radiation which radiate out to all the planets in our solar system (including us). If it wasn't for the denisty of our atmophere and our magnetic poles we would already be another mercury or the moon...lifeless and dead..

...so think 'green' folks! and lets protect this place!

Well none of us would be here, for a start.

The most obvious change is that were some alien astronaut to touch down on the planet in the daytime, the sky would be black, not blue. The atmosphere stops a lot of ultraviolet, and cosmic rays from getting down to the surface so if you were around you'd need some powerful sunblock - assuming you had a pressure suit that allowed you to tan as well as breathe in the vacuum...

The question is awkwardly phrased I'm afraid, you're asking 'what would happen' as if it could suddenly vanish - that's not exactly plausible. Earth would still have the same molten mantle, earthquakes and such but obviously no storms because they require air. All the surface water would be frozen though there would be tiny pockets of liquid water around thermal vents. There would be no life at all.

I think it would be like opening a plane door, except we would all get sucked up by gravity and spit out by earth

You would'nt be asking this question ! Simple, there would be no life. We'd be dead, pretty much like Mars is right now, except we would be much hotter as we are closer to the sun. Excuse the "we",please. BTW, the oceans would be no longer.
