First, congrats for not saying "fired" as it's more a question of his getting re-hired.
I think he'll be back.

My opinion is "NO" they shouldn't,instead get rid of GM/Cashman he's the to blame for everything that's going wrong for the Yank's.If finally Joe Torres leaves, he could walk out with his head high because his a true professional, and a tremendous human being.I doubt who ever the team hire will accomplish what Mr.Joe Torres has done for this team in 12 years.Girardi is a failure, Mattingly with no managing experience and Tony La Russa a little close be not enough.

Yes he should go. The Yankees are in dire need of a change. Put Joe Girardi in there and let him make some magic. But don't stop there get rid of Brian Cashman as well. moves of the past few years have sucked big time. New Manager and a new GM will help in the rebuilding just don't trade away the youth of the future.

No. Torre is the reason why the Yanks made the post season this year. Back in May when they were below 500 everybody wrote them off. He has done a great job of managing.
The manager doesn't pitch, or hit, catch or throw the ball, he can only steer the team.
On paper they NYY were the best team, but you have to tip your cap to the Indians. They won, that's why you play the games.
Money can buy you an Allstar team, but it doesn't necessarily buy you a World Series Ring...

Some player free agents will wait to know about Torre's future before deciding if they re-sign with NY. They don't want to play for any other manager. 12 years as a manager, 12 straight postseasons, 6 World Series appearances, 4 championships. Now, try to tell me that's not good enough.

I really hope they dont fire him, He is the only manager that has stuck with the yankees for so long, 12 seasons to be exact, I have loved the yankees for a long time and I really would hate to see him leave, because if he leaves then there will be more pinstripes gone also..

i think its time for a change. to some of the veteran yanks it will be very different for them come spring training but they will have to deal with it. torre gets the best team every year and has come up way short with a first round exit. i wood love to see girardi come in and win the ws, or even larussa bcuz we know he can do it, but to see torre sit his a$$ on the bench and stare at the field for another disappointing season again will make me very angry lol

Hell NO. I'm a Sox fan and Torre is the classiest guy in all of baseball. It would be a shame to see him in anything but pinstripes. not to mention Mariano is waiting to see before resigning. Long live the rivalry!!!!!

Sadly, yes. If he can't win with the most talent in the majors, something is wrong. I don't like the way he handles his pitching and he load up the bottom half of his lineup with left handed sluggers. He's become predictable.
