i combined acetic acid and sodium (l) bicarbonate and captured the gas. How would i find the volume of the gas?

You would capture the gas by placing a rubber or plastic tube from the gas generating bottle into an inverted tube filled with water in a water bath. You would measure the mL of gas collected according to the mark that the water reached in the tube. You would measure the atmospheric pressure of that day. You would subtract from the atmospheric pressure the vapor pressure of water at the temperature at which you measured.

After that, use the perfect gas law:

PV = nRT

V = nRT/P

If you knew the volume of the container you captured it in, that is the volume of the gas.
