My cousin overdosed on Pot. He was 19 years old, & a senior in high school. He was always a favorite in our family, & everyone loved him. He was a football player, & an active member in our church.

Well, 1 day during his senior year, he went to a party. Some liberal parents had gone out of town, & left their child unattended (why am I not surprised by the irresponsible parents) so he decided to throw a party. When my cousin arrived, the other kids were drinking, smoking, & behaving very poorly.

Since most of the kids were passing around a marijuana cigarette, my cousin felt a little bit out of place. At first, he refused to smoke. But the kids kept putting peer pressure on him by saying things like, "just take a puff", "all the cool kids are doing it" & "nobody has ever died from smoking marijuana." Finally, my cousin succumbed to the pressure, & he took a puff.

Immediately he went into convulsions. Then he stopped breathing. Finally, his heart gave out, and he passed away :(

What a crock of crap. You cannot O.D. on marijuana. You can however, O.D. on a drug that has been added to marijuana to hook people and have them then crave harsher drugs such as LSD, heroin and cocaine.

That's not an overdose. If the story is true (which there are issues about it that make it sound fabricated), then he was allergic to pot. Liberals advocate the legalization of marijuana because while it is less harmful than alcohol in so many ways (ie drunk drivers go too fast and hit people, high drivers drive very slowly and carefully; crime typically involves other drugs, pot smokers don't carjack or mug people for money to buy more pot), it would open the door for industrial hemp. If we could once again grow industrial hemp on a massive scale, it could help the environment, slow down global warming, produce MANY materials at a much lower cost (did you know you can not only make clothing and rope from hemp, but pressboard for walls, paint to paint them, the pipes for plumbing, the list goes on...). The constitution was printed on hemp paper. In England it was once part of the law that EVERY farm holding had to dedicate a portion of their acreage to growing hemp. Hemp is an amazing fiber. And industrial hemp is grown differently than marijuana and contains no THC. But because of DuPont and other companies in the 30s (could be the teens, can't quite remember), the government made the growing of hemp illegal, to help out the companies that were supporting them. Similar to energy companies today. Why don't we have more electric cars on the road? Because Big Oil is in bed with the government.

Do you just post this same stupid lie every couple of weeks?

Come on. Unless your fictional cousin was mainlining straight THC gas into his veins, there's no way he (or anyone else) would OD on weed.

On the other hand, marijuana has proven medicinal effects, which help cancer patients, AIDS patients and many others lead better lives. Take your rhetoric to the GOP national convention. Or at least the politics answers page.

So why are you blaming LIBERALS for what happened at the party? Is this always a common reaction with you trolls?

Secondly?

YOU CAN'T OD ON POT!!!

There's no way! Not unless you have it laced with some other drug like meth, ice, or heroin.

Did you forget to add THAT to your little BS story?

I find it amusing that you people don't have a life of your own.

So you make one up as you go.

In my line of work, that's called FICTION.

Maybe you should start becoming a writer instead of a habitual LIAR--and publish some of your yarns instead?

Become a PRODUCTIVE member of society--instead of a natural born idiot crying out for attention.

This "story" has been posted here so many times it is getting really old. In recorded history, there has never been even 1 case of a person dying from a marijuana OD.

Shenanigans, you can't overdose on weed. If you tried to, you'd most likely fall asleep before it killed you. You would die of asphyxiation before you could ever smoke that much. Marijuana alone will never kill you, even if eaten or injected. Perhaps your cousin had an allergic reaction, it sounds like it. I'm sorry to hear that, assuming its true.

I've seen this post before, several months ago.

Sorry about you're cousin. I personally don't believe in legalizing pot. But some people benefit from pot as medication. And if there doctor prescribes it for pain, then I think for those few, it should be legal. And as any medication, It has he potential for abuse.

Cut and paste of a completely BS urban legend.

Read http://www.drug-overdose.com/marijuana.htm Before you slam their conclusions, take note of the fact they are a drug treatment center and more likely to make drugs look worse than they are than better.

Alcohol overdose has killed far more people. maybe we should outlaw alcohol and legalize pot.

Sad story.

Want to stack it up against all the stories related to drunk driving deaths when alcohol sales are perfectly legal in the U.S.? Oops!
