Reading this as:-
(a + 4) / 2 = (a + 4) / a
a(a + 4) = 2(a + 4)
a² + 2a - 8 = 0
(a + 4)(a - 2) = 0
a = 2 , a = - 4

(a+4)/2 = (a+4)/a
Cross multiply: a (a+4) = 2(a+4)
a^2 + 4a = 2a + 8
a^2 + 2a - 8 = 0
(a-2)(a+4) = 0
a = 2, a = -4
