If police have a warrant, you CANNOT hide because they will find you.
If the police don't have a warrant, they can only ring the doorbell and knock so there's no sense in hiding. Just stay away from any windows if you don't wanna talk to them.
And after they leave, get whatever it is they're looking for out of your house. Don't put it in the dumpster, either.

I wouldn't hide. I had this happen when some people were staying with me. The girl told me that she had expired tabs on her plates and didn't want a ticket. So when the cop came up and she was hiding in my closet I lied and said I didn't know who the car belonged to. But after some questioning he got it out of me, then said you'll get arrested if she doesn't come out. Come to find out she had a warrent.
Dumb mistake on my part. Trusting someone I'd only known for a couple days.

I wouldn't hide - I would wait until they knocked on my front door then I would go see what they wanted. I haven't done anything that I would want to hide from the police

Why would ya need to hide? Anyway I personally hop my back fence and run through my neighbors yard to get to my friend's down the street. Have made it there safely plenty of times.
