I have been trying to find it on the net and haven't found a transcript from that show.

I am surprised that no religious groups have been speaking out against her remarks though.

Donny told her that he was very offended by her comments.

I am just curious if anyone else caught this.

Here you go--and by the way, Ann Coulter is not only an idiot, but frankly an anti-Semite as well. If she had substituted "Muslim" for "Jew", I would call her anti-Islam as well.

----------------

"America would be better off if everyone were Christian"

Ann Coulter was interviewed tonight on CNBC’s “The Big Idea” show. She was asked what her vision of a “Perfect America” would be. Here is how she started her answer:

“Everyone would be happy, Republican and we would look like America did during the NYC Republican convention.”

Of course, it didn’t stop there, how could it with Ann Coulter on the show?

Aside from her usual routine of stating that liberals suck, Ann went on to say that non-Christians, like Jews would be Christian in a”Perfect America.” In her view, correcting what is flawed about Judaism, would make things right for our country.

“Jews need to be perfected”

“Do you really believe that all Americans should be Christian?”

“It would make everything a heck of a lot easier…”

The show was abruptly cut and went to commercials and when Ann Coulter was back on the air she was given a chance to explain her statement on Jews and faith.

Of course, Ann Coulter didn’t back down. Here’s what she had to say:

Our testament is a continuation of your testament. We do think Jews go to Heaven, but we consider ourselves perfected Jews. This should not be offensive at all!

I'm not American but I've seen Donny Deutsch on TV and thought he was fab! I'm glad he told Ann Coulter that her remark was offensive. It's a terribly patronising attitude that some Christians have towards Jews. Why can't they just accept that we have different beliefs, and that we must respect one another?

Do not listen to Ann Coulter for anything having to do with Christianity. Perfected Jews? She is simply in gross error.

The argument isn’t with Ann Colture.
I find it really funny that Deutch is upset about what a Jew said.

Paul, the “super Jew” made the statement to his fellow Hebrews.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
(Jews that accepted Jesus who was offered for their sins)

And BIG NEWS.
This just in: Jesus was a Jew.
So the hypersensitive media Jews can go F themselves as far as I’m concerned.
And they quit taking out their frustrations on people that have chosen to believe Jesus the Jew was who he said he was.
The Jews started all the "christian" stuff anyway.

I don't find that particularly offensive. Anyone that understands Christianity knows that they, like most religions, believe deep down that everyone should embrace their religion. The differ in how much effort that obligates them to personally, but part of being a Christian is what is called by Evangelicals "testifying".

So what? Car salesmen think everyone needs to buy their car, McDonald's thinks everyone needs a Big Mac once a week, Sean Hannity thinks everyone needs to listen three hours a day, and soap manufacturers think everyone needs to bathe every day (and I agree with that one).

The point is, EVERYONE thinks that others should live like themselves, to greater or lesser degrees. Even the Libertarian ideal that everyone should leave everyone else alone is an example of thinking others should live "our way".

So what's the big deal about followers of a religion founded by a Jew thinking that all Jews should join them? It simply doesn't offend me. I'm not gonna do it, but I'm not offended when a Christian tells me they will pray for me. I take it in the spirit intended, they are being nice and expressing their concern. I appreciate that much, at least.

No, but the question and answer were both stupid. No human being or society is, was, or will ever be "perfect". If the whole country was "Christian" there would still be arguing over whose interpretation of Christianity is correct.

Excellent - Coulter says what the far right fundies are thinking.

These people are dangerous - mostly to themselves but to us too.
