Depends what class you are. People are usually more friendly to their own.

working class. I've always said if I could choose where my car breaks down at I would want it to be in a working class neighborhood... those people tend to help others out more. Upper class folks don't really think about anyone but themselves and other upperclass. I've met a few upper (well I go to church with a lot of them and I can tell you... some of them are very snooty). I would say I'm middle class and was raised working class... so I know a good bit from each.

There are friendly people in all "classes". I have met friendly people both dirt-poor and considerably wealthy.
But by the way, I always thought the working class and middle class to be roughly the same thing.

Working class hands down. I have worked in a shop that sells scholl uniforms for four years so we literally get every colour of the rainbow coming into us. I generally find the majority of the working class people we serve to be the nicest and friendliest. I find the middle class sort of indifferet to you, they just want to get the uniforms and go, no interaction and I find a LOT of upper class people just want to look down on you, like your lucky to be even speaking to them. Now, Of course there are exceptions to each of these but this is the general reactions we get.

I think that it depends on the person. I know people from upper class (even though I'm in the middle class), and they are very friendly. I have also come across people in middle class who are not so friendly. So it just depends on the person and not their 'place' in society.

I think that the location is more important. I've met very friendly people from all classes in some cities. In other cities, everyone is rude regardless of their class.
I think environment is more important than class.

I work in one of the wealthiest demographics in the U.S ... similar to Beverly Hills... I live in a very blue collar old industrial lower middle class city... I grew up in middle class suburbia and I've also worked in one of the worst areas of the country ... #3 at the time per capita of violent crime... between the bible store and the welfare office... generally I've found really nice and really nasty people in all of those places... we are all truly unique... regardless...
