...I remember catching the film, back in 1973, at a dingy, grimy downtown Los Angeles grindhouse theatre; although sitting in the theatre alone was enough to instigate an immediate shower, once I got home, watching "LHOTL", as bloodily filthy and disgusting as it was, warrented further reason to bath...

...hard to believe, as refined and educated as director Wes Craven is, that he was the one who wrought this classic splatter flick onto the general public...

...it's also hard to believe that someone out there is actually thinking that they could possibly top the outright raw, gritty, disturbing and viceral intensity of the original, with a recently announced remake...

I actually just seen that for the first time a few weeks ago, it was on ON Demand.... crazy movie!!! Now I just wish I could forget.. lol
