They don't always have the look. Some of them aren't even attractive. They are made to look attractive with cosmetics, wardrobe and the right lighting. I don't know why you think untalented singers are more famous. Which untalented singer is famous??

big difference between a singer and a performer. there are dozens, maybe hundreds or thousands of people who can sing (the same goes for studio musicians) But to ENTERTAIN takes a different kind of showmanship, a different kind of charisma, a whole bunch of stuff.
One example of this is Elvis---he could sing, play guitar a little, songwrite a bit, but he was an entertainer. He became huge.
Brittany Spears was a good singer who was a fine entertainer (as jailbait) and when she got older, (22-25 is OLDER?)her allure wore off. Prince was an awesome songwriter/singer, but as an entertainer he fell a bit short. Paul Simon is an awesome songwriter/artist, but as an entertainer he has no stage show.
I could go on and on---Elton John, Bowie, Mercury, Carly Simon, Benitar, Heart---once an artist loses that whole youthful/sexy thing, it's all downhill. Their talent is not diminished, just their marketability.

it's not true. i don't believe any famous singers are actually untalented. there may be more talented people who aren't famous but they may lack business skills, work ethic, knowledge of contracts, willingness to move around and travel etc.

When trying to determine who will be the next generation of famous people, the number one concern is whether or not they will appeal to mass audiences and key demographics. Talent is by far considered to be a secondary consideration.

That's because they do crazy things to make themselves in the public eye. It causes more talk about them, causing more publicity. And a lot of publicity equals being quite famous.

Coz they're not untalented... they might be average in singing but they are extraordinary when it comes 2 'getting what they want'.

They were made famous by a troupe of people. These people know everything to do to make someone famous. They didn't earn it.
