the veg oil needs to be filtered, no crumbs or anything like that....It will run on straight cooking oil, YES... to the people saying "No" they obviously know nothing about diesels..

there is nothing to convert...

Jra is also correct, if there are any greases in there that will congeal at low temperature, you will have to keep it in a liquid state...it cannot solidify, but if you use pure veg oil, you're golden...

Don't ever do this. That is a ridiculous gesture.

Diesel and cooking oil are not even close to the same thing. The cooking oil is not nearly as combustable.

If the motor is not properly converted, you can hydrolock the motor. Oil cannot be compresed like gasoline or even diesel fuel.

So ive heard it can been done with proper filtering and mixing. I will warn you that during the winter months if any animal fat gets in the oil it will slowly plug up the filter. I had problems witrh bio-deisel in my rig last year . We found out they use small amounts of animal fat-why I dont know . Once the fat was removed everything was fine

if you use filtered cooking oil, it will burn just fine in your stock diesel motor. No harm, no damage will result. You just have to make sure it is clean and filtered, no food debris as this will clog filters and fuel lines.
