ANY medicine may have a side effect - and by LAW, they must be listed on the product itself!!! ;););)

No - homeopathy contains zero active ingredients so there will be no side effects. In fact there will be no effect all, beyond a placebo effect. Once you look into it you see that homeopathy is absurd nonsense, based on superstitious beliefs - like the more you dilute something, the more potent it becomes. For example, a typical homeopathic 30C potency means a dilution ratio of 10 to the power of 60, about equivalent to 1ml in 1.2 million cubic light years! It will not contain one single molecule of the original ingredient, so it cannot possibly have any physiological effect. Remedies are selected based on your symptoms; homeopaths believe that ‘like cures like’, so if you have insomnia for example, homeopaths will often give you a remedy made from Coffea, which is made from the coffee bean. It seems they think that recreating the symptoms empowers your body’s ‘vital force’ to expel disease. This concept lacks any scientific basis, supporting factual evidence or coherent rationale. I'm sorry you've been scammed by a homeopath. I too suffer psoriasis though mild - I manage it with moisturizers and steroid creams.

any medicine which is used for a prolonged period can bound to have some side effect.but a very well chosen homeopathy drug may not at all induce any side effect but might give initial aggravation and bio chemical remedies are made in more or less identical way like homeopathy medicines and are classified as" tissue remedies" and not homeopathy remedies and you can give these remedies to your kids along side with allopathy medicines but not buying across the counter but by consulting the physician and with a wide gap between the two types of medication such as bio combination and allopathy.but my suggestion is to consult a homeopathy physician who will be able to identify the causative factor for the illness and prescribe accordingly for a complete cure and i wish your kids a rapid recovery and complete cure.

I would not trust any of the 'supposed' homeopathic remedies that you would find at your local drug store.

Before you embark on homeopathic remedies for yourself or your kids, you should seek out a professional Homeopathic Doctor. An assessment has to be made of the whole person in order to find what remedy or remedies would be best suited. It is all about balancing the body, in all ways, so each person would be different.

As far as side effects go, that would be something the Homeopath would be able to tell you. I do know, that when you take the remedies, there are certain foods that you can not ingest. If you do mix these certain foods with the remedies, the remedies will not work.

Like with all kinds of medicines, seek professional help. Good luck.

Yes, there can be side affects to herbal and homeopathic remedies. That's why it's vital to be an informed patient, or parent, about what remedy you are taking for yourself, or giving your child. There is a great homeopathic product from Hyland Labs that has all the "childhood" remedies together for ailments for kids. You can get this box at the bigger natural food stores. So far, of all my friends who use these products, no one has had any side affects. And Hyland Labs has been around for over a hundred years. Just because something is labeled "natural" doesn't necessarily mean it is good to take. There are a lot of these remedies that you can't use when you are pregnant or nursing or are bi-polar. So again, be informed as to what it is that goes into your body. It's great that you want to have optimum health for you and your family! Good luck... ;oD

For what it's worth, Laura J is exactly right.

Homeopathic and natural products realistically have next to no side effects. The only times they actually "cause problems" is allergic reactions (which can't be helped) and if there is a drug or medical condition that interferes or interacts with them.

The reason so many people don't believe in them is because different people respond differently to different supplements... some people notice no benefit from any given product, and some people have huge benefits from the same product.
Essentially, natural products give your body nutrition that it's lacking from other sources, which can help with all sorts of aspects of health and can assist in generally living better. That's why some products help with brain health (if your brain isn't getting enough nutrition), heart health (if your heart isn't getting enough nutrition), skin health (if your skin.... you get the point), etc.

If you have enough nutrition for a particular problem, the natural product won't help at all. For example, if you are getting enough fish in your diet, supplemental fish oil won't do anything for you.... but if you don't eat fish (or get the benefits from any other source), you can get all sorts of benefits for skin health, brain health, and cardiovascular health.

If you want to try some natural products, go ahead and give them a shot. Watch any warnings that may exist on the bottles (like I said in the 2nd paragraph), and verify with a pediatrician (or doctor/pharmacist that knows about supplements) to see if they would be okay for your kids and/or the dosage size they should take. Most supplements aren't listed for children, and they need smaller doses than adults. Good luck and good health!

I can give you a realistic answer.

Herbology is the study of herbs that elicit an affect, but with low toxicity levels and are usually found through actual homeopathics well studied and with the credientials to administer them.

Drugs are derived from plant molecules and turned into toxic substances that elicit an affect more strongly, but with side affects.

Some herbs can interact with some pharmaceutical drugs.
http://www.naturesfoodpatch.com is a web site that lists herbs from A to Z and known drug interactions and it also lists prescription drugs from A to Z and the dietary deficiencies they cause.

Kids and adults are deficient from modern farming practices. Flinstones Vitamins and Centrum vitamins clog porta potties and are seen in X rays.

You need whole food form vitamin/minerals that are kid friendly and non toxic and for adults so that your cells can utilize the nutrition just like eating the leaf of a plant. This helps to support the autonomic nervous system.

They appear to cause stupidity when taken more than once.

Other than that, homeopathic medicines are 100% water, so they have no effect at all.
