As I've said before there is no such thing as a true Liberal or a true Conservative. There is a little bit of both in everybody. There are parts of both sides folks would like to see put into action

Myself, I'm an Independent with Libertarian views. I'll go with the candidate that that has a workable plan to get our country out of the mess we're in, bring our troops back home, make us a profitable nation again. get a handle on the Illegal immigrant situation and comes up with a health plan that is good for all people, old or young, rich or poor, be it private or something else.

I am a conservative, but not a far right conservative. There are somethings the far right is wacko on.
Gay rights, gays and lesbians are people, just like everybody else. Why shouldn't they enjoy the same rights as everybody else?
Abortion. There are times ( though they are far and few in between) that an abortion is necessary to preserve the life of the mother. To arbitrarily outlaw ALL abortion is wrong. HOWEVER, abortion for the convienience sake of an iresponsible, promiscuous teen is also wrong. If they don't want to get pregnant there are options, including KEEPING YOUR LEGS CLOSED.
Religion. The First Amendment reads " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof......" Key word there is CONGRESS. Last time I looked my local high school was not congress, nor did it have any legislative ability. So WHY IS PRAYER PROHIBITED IN SCHOOL???? I guarantee that before during and after a mid-term or final exam there is plenty pf praying going on!!

Why, despite these views do I consider myself a conservative? Because I do not believe in entitlements, and the myriad of "social" programs the government has embarked on to make life easier for the leetches of society. If you are too stupid to stick it out thru high school then YOU DESERVE TO BE SUPER SIZING MY FRIES. Not collecting a welfare check with MY hard earned tax dollars.

"heavily liberal" is an oxymoron. Liberalism pre-supposes moderation. There are easily ranges of conservatism. seem into the mugging that Romney is taking from the Tea social amassing hooligans for now no longer being actual-wing loopy sufficient to slot them. Liberals are in all ideas much less lunatic partisan than are conservatives. (And is the unusual fellow who maintains to be denying climate replace getting any style of expert help for his psychological undertaking?)

I'm glad you asked. Do you know what a Liberal is? Here's a hint, it aint a Democrat. Do you know what a Conservative is? It aint a Republican.
The media taught you your political science-101 and they had to have failed the course. Words matter and the misuse of words leads to confusion.
Liberal, root word Liberty, the criteria for this word fits the Republican party.
Conservative, conservation of religious and/or ethnic identity, this word fits the Amish, the Hasidic Jews and the Taliban.
So, you may ask, what word is left to describe the Democratic party? Don't they have a criteria word too?
Yes, the Democrats fit the criteria of Neo-Marxists.
Just check out the numbers.

Conservative. I used to be a lot more moderate, but the far left scares the hell out of me.

So does the far right, but they're quieter.

I don't remember who said it but someone said "If you aren't a liberal when you are young you have no heart, If you aren't conservative when you are older you have no brain."
