i burnt a cd today at school and its in format AIFF it wont play ona cd player it will only play on my compuiter anybody know how i can get it to play x

You burnt a DATA cd and not a MUSIC cd. You will have to go back and burn a new cd and make sure you specify MUSIC.
Depending on the program, it may or may not be able to convert the AIFF files to enable you to create a MUSIC cd. You may have to use another program to convert the AIFF files into a format that the cd burning software can use to create a MUSIC cd.
Also, you need to be aware that MUSIC cd's do not have as much capacity as DATA cd's so you may not be able to fit all your songs on one cd.

when you copy disc or songs unto a disc it should ask three things do you want it to play in computers do you want to play it in cd players or do you want to play it in both you probably picked computers or you can try to change the format of the songs with a free music converter alot on the internet

You could copy the CD onto the hard drive of your computer at home and if you have a cd rewriter copy it onto another disk.
