Go for it. I had the same thing, hit the nose and a bump would just stay. But be careful who you pick and do some research on it. Once you do it you will be so happy i was. I was so glad and i was 16 too. So don't worry it won't hurt and it heals fast. Its so worth it. Gives you a bust in your self esteem too, i usto hate people see my profile now im more confident.... Its not that serious if you want go for it just look for the right doctor.. You'll love your new nose.

if it makes you really nervous you dont have to do it, sometimes the scars and things we have actually add something to us, give us character you know?? and that can be more attractive. if you think someone like sarah jessica parker is really pretty but she's also unique. there's nothing wrong with that. if you want to have it done, it will be painful for a little while but it will settle down, you'll just have some bruising and things straight off and no operation is nice. i'd check out before and after photos to get an idea of what it would be like. also as your 16 i'd wait a year or two to be sure it's something you really want. only you can make that decision, dont let anyone influence you!

Definitely wait.

I have three friends who had plastic surgery.

One was 18 and had her breast size reduced (they were hurting her back). She's now 22, and they grew back, full-force. The doctor said it's because her body wasn't done growing.

My other friend got a nosejob for her Sweet 16, and she had to get it basically redone at 22, same reason.

In both cases, the doctors said that if they had just waited a couple years, they would have only needed one surgery, and one healing/recovery time. And less scarring!

A third friend got her nose done at age 20, and she's fine (she's 24 now and it still looks awesome, knock on wood).

So think about it long and hard. Getting it done now could make it harder later.

My Mother was in a car accident and had that happen. She just let her nose be. When she was about 55 she had to have surgery to open her nose because the damaged cartilage had continued to try to repair itself until it shrank the air passages.

I think you should at least see a plastic surgeon, to verify that your nose is healing correctly. They will advise you on the proper time to have corrective surgery if you need it or want it.

I am 43 and kept meaning to get mine done but was always told not to by girlfriends and the like, I have found that i have bared the brunt of many joke lol but I am glad i have not had it done, as alot of girls like it, but saying all that you really are the only person that can decide, i would say if you are not happy with it and you are only 16 get it done now or just live with it and grow with your character nose. i like mine now

well any sugury should bbe taken seriouisly and it is perment so really think about it. iff it is for yourself i.e. to make yourselff more confident then you should do it. however they may not do that sugury until you are at least 18 due to puberty and all that. but if u are really serious then you should start doing some research on it, the more you know the less likely it will scare you. I hope this helps a little!!

NO, wait until you're older. You seem to be focussing too much on your nose. Fixing your nose will not solve all your problems. It gives you character. Mine has a hump on it, although I don't recall ever breaking it. Any surgery has its risks, including plastic surgery. What do your parents think?
If you insist on doing it, go back to your original profile, don't go changing it. Remember you're still growing and may grow into this nose. People's noses seem to grow ahead of the rest of their face in our teen years.

Think of the reason you are getting it. Most people who get plastic surgery still fill that something is wrong and so they keep getting them. Nothing outside can fix the internal thoughts we have to deal with. If you can't breathe get it fixed, if it's just to look good buy some shoes less expensive.

You will have to go through the whole healing process again; ask your parents if the cost might be covered under their health insurance. It can be expensive.

I'd wait until you are at least 18 and won't be growing much.
