Clear/golden-clear odorless liquid is lymph which is OK. Lymph is basically blood plasma without the blood and it does circulate about the body through tiny channels. When you're cut, the lymph channels are cut just as the blood vessels. Lymph will generally dry up into a scab like substance which protects the wound until it heals - just like a scab.

Thick white or yellow or green discharge or smelly discharge is pus which is not normal. It suggests the presence of an infection and should be seen by a doctor.

This has happened to me before. I think you will be just fine. When the liquid is clear, that means it's not infected. Start worrying if it turns into a yellowish discharge(pus). Try to keep your cut free from bandages if possibe. This will help the wound heal quicker. Keep the wound washed with peroxide or rubbing alcohol several times a day to avoid infections. Also put neosporin or another type of ointment on the cut to help relieve soreness or itching.

It's your bodies way of healing itself. the clear liquid is part of what will develop into the scab that protects the cut. It also contains whit blood cells that protect the open wound from bacteria, germs, etc. If it becomes really sore or starts to ooze greenish liquid then go see a doctor pronto! then it might be infected.
