Why do Americans play hockey so bad?

Doesnt matter who it is, you will always find a better Canadian, Russian, Swede, Czech, kazakstanner, Japaneeze, Swiss player, and even more.
So why do americans pretend that their team wins the cup, when its made up of more than 50 percent of canadians?

Americans suck at hockey cause most of them don't treat it as a sport. They had only like 3 serious runs at the Olympics. It's sad once the beat USSR in 1980 there all bragging about it. Comon the U.S. Team sucks, and hockey wouldn't be the same without the majority of Finns Sweds Russians canadians and other that play in the NHL

Hockey is loved here in the USA.Just look at the arenas.IT not as big as football or basketball.But its still loved by many in the USA.And it not going any where.Hockey been here for a long time.And i think the Russian players are better then some of the Canadian players.And there are some good Canadian.And i getting tired of you Canadians bitching.Ob out how hockey don't belong in the USA.Hokey belongs and the USA as just as it dos in Canadian.Think its been great that the west cost wont the cup and the east and the south as won the cup.And one of these days the cup might be in Canadian

We don't play hockey on a regular basis I live in the Midwest besides Minn and Wisc and the Northeastern United States the rest of us do not play hockey one reason is climate half of the United States it rarely snows so that region of the USA dosen't play hockey. Second no exposure when you have to search through VS and the outdoor channel to find a hockey match people stop looking. Hockey is not a TV friendly sport like baseball, football and basketball are unless you've been watching hockey for years it's hard to find the puck. Newer expansion teams are set up where there is no fan base to start with such as San Jose, Anahaim, Nashville, Dallas and etc. That's why the rest of the world has a advantage over the United States.

Just as with any culture, there are traditions/past times. Canadians, Russians, Swedish, Czech, etc.. play hockey, plain and simple. Their climate supports the sport very well. It's not that Americans are bad hockey players, there just aren't enough American's that decide to pursue the sport. Laugh at America!? HA! I laugh at your stupidity.

The Americans played so bad that they won the 1933 World Championships, the 1960 Olympics, the 1980 Olympics, the 1996 World Cup, came close to winning the 2002 Olympics....etc

Americans are way better at hockey then the Cubans. Or Jamacians. Half our country has the same weather as them too. So that's no excuse...
