What I mean is this . . . . Haven't you ever even questioned why it's only your party who is guilty of this ?
And have ya ever asked yourself. . . . . Why for centuries was it OK to include God in our country , schools , and government , but suddenly in the last decade or two , it's not apparently ?
Have ya ever asked yourself. . . . Why have almost all the mass school shootings happened in the last decade or two ?
Have ya even ever stopped to ask yourself this ?
If ya have , then what the heck happened ?
NOTE -- I've asked questions that really baffle me about you . I would greatly appreciate straight-forward respectful answers .
Thank you and God Bless .

Well CONGRATULATIONS. . . . Not one lib gave a straight answer to the several posted question opportunities , save one who came somewhat close . More reason for Conservatives to abhor Liberals .

Shinobi - You had every chance to answer with logic or opinion or partisanship or whatever . Instead you chose otherwise intermingled with insults . I'll bet you remember the phrase " Ask and you shall receive " . DONE .

NOTE TO LIBS - Your assertion that removing God from society has nothing to do with what happens in that society , is the equivalent of saying that God never had any influence in the beginning . .. ... Are you sure you're Christians ?

I'm guessing that there are many Democrats who are PROUD of their stance, not disturbed by it.
To them, the Norman Rockwell images of our youth were evil, oppressive images of THEOCRACY!
How much we have changed.
PS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Freedoms
(This site does not have all four paintings, but most that do are for shops selling prints and I don't want to be accused of spamming.)
I would also observe that the answers you have received are far more telling about the attitude of much of the left towards religion than any comment you or I could ever make!

The so called separation of Church and State has been used so widely by democrats, its time for all to go back to the Founding documents and see that religion was a key part of their lives and one of the foundations to this country. To the founders, separation meant not having an official religion as in England. That all religions could grow and prosper in this new land. Some of the original states even gave out bibles to school children and this was seen as just proper state role.

How weak your faith must be if you think that any political party or human action of any sort could take god out of society. You must not think that god is all he's cracked up to be if he can be legislated away.
Anyway, the removal of religion (not god) from government run activities coincided with the growth of our society to the point where people were no longer afraid of being dragged from their homes for voicing anti-religious sentiments. The school shooting have coincided with the proliferation of high-powered weapons. And why do you blame a lack of religion in schools and government? Shouldn't it be the parents' responsibility? And why are so many people still going to religious services all around the country if god has been removed from society?
Whenever I see claims such as this, it is clear that the person making the claim didn't think it through very well.
P.S. I wonder if you'll pick someone who agrees with you 100% as the best answer.
Let's see. You asked a patently ridiculous question and now you're surprised that you didn't get straight answers. Fine. Here goes. The only people who ever accuse anyone of taking god out of society are right-wing religious fundamentalists. Their accusations are not supported by facts or reality, only their blind emotion. That's why the only ones ever accused of doing it are Democrats. The ones doing the accusing are Republicans. However, you then go on to say that Democrats are guilty of what they're being accused of, which is, as noted, untrue.
OK, that a straight enough answer for you?

How do expect to have straight forward and respectful answers to such an idiotic, condescending, arrogant self serving question?
Are you saying that Repukes are sole proprietors of Christianity?
Who has taken God out of society?
Is Republican Christianity different from Democratic Christianity?
Now, which God are you talking about? In our diverse society there are several Gods, whether you like it or not. There is the Muslim God, The Buddhist God, there are people rejecting God, the Satan Worshipers, for them Lucifer is their God, and believe or not they are compounded by Republicans and Democrats.
What I've asked myself plenty of times is, how in the world did Al Gore ever lost the election to this imbecile. I 've asked myself this, how the Republican party can survive with such an ignorant, egotistical, irrevernt, delutional flock.

LOT of good answers here, Ernie? What're you squawking about?
You are guilty of using a Post Hoc logical fallacy: "We took prayer and Bible reading out of the schools, and all sorts of bad things happened." Like rote and ritual are magic talismans to prevent problems.
Our system of government was designed to be secular. The fact that this was not consistently adhered to does not justify the violations.
And it's not just a matter of "the last decade or two". The Supreme Court started taking secularism seriously in 1947. But don't worry, the Court is so stacked with ideologues who don't feel bound by ANY precedent (just their right-wing ideology) that these 60 years of dozens of dozens of precedents securing secularism may not last.

I always wonder that too.
A democrat candiate can speak in a church and nothing is said, but a republican who speaks at a church the crys of sepration of church and state still ring in my ears.
If one can do it all should do it.
People don't want Pat Robertson to speak out about politics because he is a minster yet have no problem with Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton both minsters.
I guess we can't expect liberals be held to the standards they want everyone else to have some call that being a hypocrite.

Please don't lie on behalf of God.
Have you ever wondered what Jesus would think about your party's opposition to human tolerance, support of corporations over the interests of individual citizens, and tendancy to rely on modern day pharisees like Pat Roberts and Jerry Falwell? No, of course you haven't.
Don't be so superstitious, God hasn't abandoned us because we don't force unwilling children to pray to him in school anymore. He doesn't care if his name is in our pledge of allegience, because his kingdom was never meant to be of this earth, and that wasn't added until the 50's anyway.
You should know that it wasn't Democrats alone who separated the Church from the State, it was an agreement of the founding fathers when they wrote the very first amendment to the constitution. Yes, I believe some of the things that people fight for are silly. Removing the ten commandments from courthouses is pointless, because they were really only decorative in the first place. Reading the ten commandments doesn't make you a christian anymore than quoting Siddhartha makes you buddhist. But it's equally silly to fight so vehemently to keep them up. We enforce human laws, and God enforces his own.
America would be a much better place for everyone, if the poorly named "bible belt" would actually crack open their bibles.
EDIT: Dude- every answer you got here was a straight answer- just not the answer you wanted to hear. The reason they all disagree with you, is that you are wrong.

It wasnt "OK to include God in our country , schools , and government" for centuries.
E Pluribus Unum--predates that whole "In God We Trust" crap
The whole "Under God" thing was only added in response to McCarthyism and the paranoia of the nation.
We are a secular country. Youre the one trying to change that. Just because it was allowed for a few decades doesnt mean its the way it was in the begining or that its the way it should be.
No one is seeking to take God out of society, just out of gov't where he wasnt intended anyway. Feel free to worship and do as you believe, but dont force it on me via the gov't.
__
Removing God from gov't (not society as you keep incorrectly saying) hurts nothing. Didnt Jesus have something to say about giving to the gov't what is theres and giving to him what is his?

Separation of Church and State
a simple part of the Constitution, you know, that document that has kept our country free and alive since our inception.
(Its NOT just a G*D@MN PIECE OF PAPER as George W Bush says) its what makes America a great country.
you act as though America is only for Christians !!
What kind of christian? Catholics? You do know that the Pope recently made it a papal law that Catholics are the ONLY ONES GOING TO HEAVEN !!!Jerry Falwell said anyone that speaks in tongues is "of the devil"
So again----who would determine what kind of christian ?
Georeg W Bush? YOU? The POPE ? The courts ?
The Taliban?
