...but it's perfectly OK to listen to 50 Cent or Akon.

Surely they are ALL guys who make music...

I'll not point out the trend there (as it probably won't be PC)... I think it's quite stupid to judge a man on what he listens to - for some reason I don't think there is much of a link between music preference and sexual preference! Some people seem to think that it's much cooler to listen to certain types of music/singers, and if you don't listen to that type of music then there must be something wrong with you (and 'gay' is obviously the first term that pops into their narrow-minded brains - maybe they consider gay people to have something wrong with them too?).

Because people are stupid, and somehow consider music tied in with sexuality, last I checked being gay meant liking other men, not listening to a certain type of music.

Good music is good music, not that I consider Backstreet Boys or Take That good but compared to 50 Cent and Akon they are musical geniuses

It's people like chico that make me ashamed to be a member of the human race - narrow-minded, bigotted, stupid, ill-informed and with serious confidence issues (if you protest so much, are you worried about your own preferences?). This sort of attitude is contemptible as are the people that express it. Ignore them. Be yourself, don't be a sheep following the crowd. Stand up for what you believe in and what you enjoy. No-one is gay or otherwise just because of the music they listen so. Sheesh!!

Backstreet Boys' audience is targeted for girls.

But I mean, back then, being gay was supposedly one of the worst things ever. It's a good thing that America is more open to homosexuality today. It probably just hasn't evolved with music yet.

particular, and in all fairness to the Backstreet Boys, Lance Bass from N*Sync is the gay one. yet, particular you as a guy could by no skill hear to the Backstreet Boys and particular it does make you gay.

Backstreet Boys & Take That were manufactured, soulless pap designed to get 12 year old girls to part withn their pocket money.

Any man who likes them isn't gay, just incredibly dim!
