It's clear that the government is afraid that the people of this country will find out the extent to which power has been handed over to the European Union and the extent to which the British constitutional structure has already been undermined. Nor do they want the people to understand how much the process will be advanced by this treaty. The government, the EU and the Europhile establishment are all afraid of the people finding out the truth. If the project of European integration were such a good idea they would want people to vote on it; they would want people to know about it. But they don’t want us to have a vote because they know that the people will turn against the whole idea when they read even parts of this treaty and find out what has been going on behind their backs. The Treaty/ Constitution is available on line for those who wish to read it, as is the original one.

OLD KNOW ALL is wrong when he says we had a referendum on the EU. That is not strictly correct, we had a vote on entering the European COMMON MARKET which is a distinctly different thing.

We have been bumped into the EU by stealth.

I have never understood why Tory MPs want to us to have stronger ties with the EU when it is an unelected, undemocratic organisation which is communist inspired.

We won't get a vote because 'Cyclops' BROWN knows it will be a resounding NO because the Btitish people do not like the thought of being governed by the European Union which is foreign to our beliefs.

because the answer would be no , were gonna live through extrordinary times because these people know they can do what they like these unions in the end will be merged to create world government ,

the guy at the top , we didnt vote for the EU we voted for a european free trade agreement ECC in 1972 , many today still cant quite beleive what they voted for as it has morphed into the union .

a new union being put together the North American Union has been signed up tp by mexico ,america and canada , most americans dont know this even exists .

The problem with a referendum is not many people would understand the question. We had a referendum on whether we should join the EU - we voted Yes. We were going to have one on the European Constitution - but the French voted Non (guess how many of them knew what it said?).

If we do eventually have a referendum on the current European Treaty, I think there should be some multiple choice questions on what it says. Anyone who gets them wrong - their vote doesn't count.

We can't have a referendum because the vast majority of people would vote NO, and Brown knows it. For some very strange reason he actually thinks it would be a good idea, so he's going to carry on acting like a dictorial buffoon and ignore the correct democratic option to let the people decide on this very important issue.

Is anyone interested....Apathy rules I'm afraid and it's not until after the event that we start griping. We ought to start a media campaign to get the ball rolling about holding a referendum. However, most would say 'am I bovered' ?.
