gesture is the body language of the person, onstage or off. You can tell if someone wags a finger at another that there is about to be some kind of anger involved in the voice of the wagger.

Now, levels are a convention - upper level is joy, dreaming, poetry, delight and the cheerful emotions. Mid level is 'normal' area, and the floor level, whether in motion or still, is usually to do with grim and gloomy emotional content.
