The reason for asking is that we are thinking of buying laminate flooring for the front room. Also if each pack size is 2.15 sq metres, would 8 packs be enough. Thanks in advance

1 ft = 0.305 metres
16 ft = 16 × 0.305 m
and 14 ft = 14 × 0.305 m
16 ft × 14 ft = 16 × 0.305 m × 14 × 0.305 m
= 224 × 0.093025 = 20.8376 sq m.

16 Feet In Metres

It is 20.74 Sq mtrs.
Edit :If you are buying Wood Flooring I would Buy 11 Packs this will give you 23.65 sq mts but it would be the safest option because you most probably have to cut the wood flooring so it is better to take a pack back for a refund rather than running out and trying to find a shade match to the rest or the floor.

Area = 16 x 14 ft ²
Area = 224 ft ²
224 ft ² = 21 m ² (to nearest whole number)

To convert feet to metres divide by 3.281
so divide 16 by 3.281 and then 14 by 3.281 this gives you the lengths in metres. Multiply the two metric numbers together to get the area in metres.
you can see from the other answers that the area is just under 21 square meters so you woul need 10 packs of 2.15 square meters to cover the floor.
Enjoy your new flooring.
