collide = forcefully to bump into something

collide + er (the suffix that makes a 'person doing it' out of a verb. . .dream is the noun, dreamer is the person dreaming)

Now, with collide you drop the final /e/ before adding the suffix /er/, therefore getting collider, a person who collides.
