The bigger issue isn't the medals. It's having the moment. When you worked your entire life for something and now your dream finally has come true. To hear your country's anthem and to feel the medal placed around your neck.

The medalists have now been robbed of that moment forever and no amount of money can repair the damage.

Maybe they should receive a ceremony in Beijing to honor their sacrifice so that there accomplishments will be remembered instead of just being a footnote in a history book.

That is exactly what will happen. But Jones cheated those athletes from being recognized on the international stage and selfishly cheated the clean U.S. competitors in the Olympic Trials from fairly earning starting spots in those events. She will go down in history as a fraud on par with Ben Johnson.

I would think so ... and I hope so.

It would suck to be stuck w/ the silver medal and have that in the history books when there is no clear gold medal winner.

So, I hope they redo it all accordingly.
