They are after all guns for hire and just think I can steal all the natural resources of the African State and sell it to our State Dept. and they can sponsor me as a puppet leader.

Funny you should ask. A VERY popular 'source for military recruits is South Africa. The United Nations recently reported that South Africa "is already among the top three suppliers of personnel for private military companies, along with the UK and the US." There are more than 1,500 South Africans in Iraq today, most of whom are former members of the South African Defense Force and South African Police.'

Each blackwater mercenario will cost at least $80,000 American dollars per year. At a minimum you will need one mercenary per 100 people in the country to be invaded. You will likely need to keep the mercenaries for 5 years, so 400k per 100 people or 4 million per one thousand people.

A country with unexploited natural resources would probably be sparsly populated, more people= more resources.
Rwanda, for example, has 343 people per square kilometer. You would have elbow room for your drills!

The clear target would be Namibia. Right next to gold and diamond rich South Africa, you are sure to have resources to exploit with only 2.5 people per Square KM... That's a lower population density than Canada!

As the country has 2 million people, you would need $8 billion dollars to accomplish the takeover. Banks have loaned out that much money for past "hostile takeover" deals. So yes, it would be possible for a private citizen to take over a nation.

Now, as to whether or not *you* could secure the loan and state department support... probably not. Besides, if it was that lucrative, Warren Buffet would have already done it.

Maybe I can help with the mission of Blackwater. They are a security escort service hired to protect high visibility personnel while in country. The military are not currently trained for a mission like that and quite frankly they shouldn't be. The closest agency we have in the government with the mission of Blackwater is the U.S. Marshals or the Secret Service. I will say that Department of Defense really does want them under their control as opposed to the State Department but the military has no control over what dignitaries are entitled in country and who is not.

If you have the money then you can seriously do this... I don't know if Blackwater would take such a contract but I can guarantee that if you had the money then they would meet with you... if they thought it was feasible they would then consult their lawyers.

There was a security firm in London that tried to overturn the government in Equatorial Guenia many years ago. It was unsuccesful and two executives (and former SAS commandos) were jailed for a short time there for this.

No. The powerful United international locations might desire to be finding after this undertaking. possibly they might deliver greater products to Somalia. possibly shall we deliver life jackets and new weapons to the pirates or get them some counselling. i might deliver troops and sparkling it up. Or sink the ships and pay no longer something. If there is not any earnings in it they gained`t do it for long. they're utilising the money to purchase weapons so whilst something of the international says sufficient they are going to be waiting to kill our troops with the money we've offered paying for those ships lower back. If the deliver isn't able to guard itself from being boarded then sink it supply the pirates no longer something. We call them leaders and pay thousands and thousands and approximately a hundred and fifty uneducated animals carry the international at bay. possibly we'd desire to continually get the pirates to be our leaders a minimum of they have have been given some BBBBallls

Sure they are an army for hire

That bit about them being defensive only - yeah right - then djust say you already own the nation and want it defended works for the Bush administration

And they don't look very defensive only in Iraq do they ?

Sorry, Blackwater is a defense contractor not an offense contractor. You will still have to find our own army so you can fight theirs. Do you really think Blackwater can handle a Foreign Military? There more like a well-funded police department.

All you have to do is convince the people in that small country that you will take all the money from the rich people and give it to them and they will put you in power. That is all most of the dictators there have done. Then, like them, you can do what all socialist do when they get into power, you can steal all you want.

Brinks is the largest armed security agency in the US,

Maybe you should hire them.

After all, by your definition, they are mercenaries also.
